Privacy notice
What we do with the details you send us, and what you can ask us to do with them. Last updated 5 October 2026.
Who we are
Bot Bench repairs and services robot vacuums in Pretoria, Gauteng. We are responsible for the personal information you send us, as the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) requires. You can reach us at jason@botbench.co.za or on WhatsApp at 079 323 1624.
What we collect
When you book a repair or a service: your name, your phone number, your machine’s model if you give it, and what the machine is doing. If we collect your machine or arrange a courier, the address you give us for that. And whatever you send us on WhatsApp or by email while we work on it.
How the booking form works
The form on this site does not store or send anything. It writes a WhatsApp message on your own device, and that message only reaches us if you choose to send it in WhatsApp. WhatsApp is run by Meta, and its own privacy policy applies to messages sent through it.
Why we use it
To reply to you, to get your machine to the bench, to find the fault, to quote and do the work you approve, and to keep a record of what we did and what we charged. Nothing else.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your details, and we don’t add you to a mailing list. We only pass them on when we have to: to a courier, if you ask us to arrange one, and where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it for your repair and for our business records. Ask us to delete your details whenever you want, and we will, unless the law requires us to keep a record.
When you visit this site
We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics: which pages are read, roughly from which country, on what kind of device, and which site sent you here. It uses no cookies and does not identify you. The site is hosted by Vercel, whose servers handle the standard technical details any website receives, such as your IP address, in order to deliver the pages. Your Light or Dark choice is saved in your own browser and never sent to us.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to how we use it. Email jason@botbench.co.za. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
